Heart felt award for Torrevieja hospital

TORREVIEJA hospital has made it into the top 20 list of Spanish health care providers in three different categories.

It is one of the most awarded hospitals in Spain since medical statistics company IASSIST started the Top 20 scheme eight years ago.

This year it has been included in the top 20 for its heart and respiratory treatments, and its hospital management has been voted the best in the country.

Frank Leyn, Health Department Manager of Torrevieja, who collected the awards in Madrid, said: “The Department of Torrevieja being added to the list is, without doubt, recognition of the efforts of our professionals. It coincides with the sixth anniversary of the opening of the centre. The awards encourage us to continue working with energy and enthusiasm to continue on this track.”

Torrevieja Hospital ranks as the Best National Hospital Management within the category of large general hospitals followed by the Hospital Vinalopo in Elche. 

IASSIST bases the list on a range of statistical evidence. All hospitals in Spain, private or public, are eligible to enter.
