Knock off 10 years
WELL applied make-up can help you look up to a decade younger.
The research, carried out for a beauty retailer, involved showing people photos of well-known women, first bare-faced and then with make-up. On average, the celebrities looked between five and nine years younger with make-up.
Asked about their own look, the survey showed that the older you are, the more reliant you are on make-up to turn back the clock. Only 60 per cent of those aged 30 to 39 thought they looked younger with make-up, compared with 100 per cent of those aged 60 to 69.
