PASSERSBY in Madrid’s Puerta del Sol gaped as Sponge-Bob Square-Pants and Hallo Kitty come to blows.These popular characters earn up to €300 on a good day, posing with sightseers, and last week’s clash arose over territorial rights as each accused the other of invading their pitch. Fortunately the battle did not escalate to the heights of a similar episode last year when police had to separate a furious Minnie Mouse and an interloper disguised as Dora the Explorer.
