FOUND IT! “It is a top grade archaeological discovery, a treasure” the Murcia Culture and Tourism councillor Francisco Gimenez said.
A COLLECTION of more than 400 gold and silver coins dated back from the Moorish era known as Al-Andalus – centuries X to XV – were found after an archaeological dig in Jabonerias Street, Murcia.
The coins were found inside a small pottery vessel. They will now be exhibited in Santa Clara’s Museum.
