Swedish tradition dance group Sundvalls Folkdansgille who came from Sweden to perform on the day.
AROUND 500 people attended Swedish Friendship Day in Mijas village Tuesday.There were stands with typical products from Sweden and the highlight was the performance of Swedish tradition dance group Sundvalls Folkdansgille who came from Sweden to perform on the day.The day’s festivities were transmitted live via the internet and at the opening of the event a commemorative ceramic plaque was put onto The Nations Wall.This is the first in a series of Friendship days that will be organised by the Foreigners Department of the Mijas Town Hall.“In the 10 years I have been a consul, I have never been invited to such a special event in honour of Sweden,” said Swedish Consul Pedro Megias.Contact Mijas Foreigners Department on 952 589 010 or frd@mijas.es.
