ONE of Mallorca’s most established businesses was honoured last week when it was recognised for its contribution to tourism on the island. The world class international dinner show Son Amar is owned by Mrs Margaret Whittaker OBE and her husband Tony and she said: “We’re representing the amazing team of people that work at Son Amar,” said Mrs Whittaker.
“The performers, front of house, kitchen, serving and backstage staff all deserve to share this. “We are very proud of the show at Son Amar and we are delighted to have been recognised for it by the Balearic Government. “This weekend will see us at Son Amar giving out our own awards when we gather together our staff and the tour operators and agencies to recognise the people who have made 2012 such a fantastic year for us.”

Mrs Whitaker is a positive symbol of how an expatriate in Spain can both integrate to Spanish life as well as contribute to the local economy and culture. Congratulations!
