AT BERTH: Boats moored in the port.
FUENGIROLA port is full, unlike many in Andalucia with an average 61 per cent occupancy. Spelling this out, Councillor for Tourism and Leisure Port from Fuengirola, Ignacio Souviron, said following earlirer 100 per cent occupancy, the port had started this month with 90 per cent capacity.
This he pointed out as being “particularly positive” as the port is not large and has been waiting reforms for the last 20 years. One of the main factors for thre high occupancy was visiting boats seeking short-term stays in a location offering different activities and places to visit.
