El Cid Wins NABA Aussie Pairs for second year running

TWO teams from El Cid successfully made it through to the final of the NABA Aussie Pairs held at Finca Guila Bowls Club.They were last year’s winners Sara Hamer and David Bluff, and Jill Glastonbury and Jack Wardrop. There was a nail biting end to a fabulous match, which saw Jack and Jill catching Sara and David to within two shots on the last end.
The nerves and pressure were evident and with Jack and Jill holding two shots, and an extra end pending, David Bluff managed to pull a great shot out of the bag to remove the opponents second shot which they were unable to replace. The match winners and champions for the second year running are Sara Hamer and David Bluff.
