Benidorm bullring -
On July 8, 1962, Benidorm Bullring officially opened its doors for its first corrida. Now, 50 years on, Benidorm town hall has made every effort to mark the anniversary by holding a series of events following three and a half years without any bullfights.
Despite the debts accumulated by the bullring’s previous owners, the new management has brought the stadium back up to required safety standards, and have successfully promoted events. With the support of the Town Hall, this has allowed Spain’s national sport to return to the town. Further ‘corridas’ are now planned.
