Music and the arts festival set in picturesque 14th century setting

IT’S all happening in the historical centre of Javea until next Thursday. Under the heading ‘Xabia Visual Week’ 60 artists will be presenting a cornucopia of rhythms and musical styles in various locations around this picturesque old town, bulging with bars, restaurants and ITS famous Tapas cuisine. The programme will include a session with the popular DJ Pachamama with his Latin music. One of the interesting features the organisers have introduced for this year is a series of special creative workshops designed for people of all ages, details of which can be found in the general programme available in the general programme obtainable from either the ‘XVW’ organising offices, (opposite the Red Cross on Avenida de Alicante,)  or on the website: www.xabiavisualweek.com. Other elements of ‘Xabia Visual Week’ will include a variety of displays dedicated to the arts encompassing painting, literature, theatre and film studies. Four British artists will be participating. The main points to head for will be the Plaça de l’Esglesia and Ronda Nord on next Friday where a closing night party at the ‘Hacienda’ discotheque promises to be something special. Audio-visual projections will be mixed with a host of DJ’ and their music including, Particules Elementals, Alejandro Bento, Cooker Live Set, Jaime Castello and Paquitus Deep Jay.
