THE ‘Q’ for quality flags were hoisted on five beaches in Orihuela.
This puts Orihuela as the municipality that received the most flags in the Valencia Region.
“It shows the quality of our beaches, which is thanks to the work carried out by the town hall,” said Tourism and Beach Councillor Pedro Mancebo.
The beaches which received this award were Punta Prima, Cala de la Estaca, Cala Capitan, Playa de la Glea and Mil Palmeras.
At the hoising of the flags, the new security and life-guard service was presented.
