VILLAJOYOSA presented its beach security force, which costs €83,000.
In addition to the 11 life-guards, there is a coordinator, a skipper, a security guard and a lifesaving jetski, as well as Civil Protection and an ambulance, available.
“The security of our beaches continues to be a priority,” explained Beach Councillor Xaro Escrig.
“We want beach goers to enjoy the sea but under the surveillance of our life-guards who will supervise the beaches.”
The life-guards will be overseeing beaches Centro, Paraiso, Bol-Nou, Varadero and Caleta.
Each of these beaches has a life-guard hut equipped with the material necessary to attend to swimmers.
