Cabo de Gata church used for tourist activities

THE Mayor of Almeria, Luis Rodriguez, and Bishop Adolfo Gonzalez signed an agreement to use part of Las Salinas de Cabo de Gata church for tourist activities.

The activities carried out in this part of the church will be related to the natural environment in which it is located.

In exchange, the town hall will contribute €100,000 to fund construction work which will allow the refurbishment of the church, so it can open to the public once again.

The budget for this work is more than €400,000 euros.

The room that will be used as a tourism office and exhibition hall is next to the crypt, located beneath the temple.
