19 arrested in connection with 37 burglaries

A GANG that allegedly carried out 37 burglaries in Pollença has been foiled.

Four of the 19 people arrested are minors and one is a woman.

Three other people have also been implicated in the gang’s activities.

Investigations began following a spate of burglaries in properties near Pollença, the majority of them holiday homes rented to tourists.

During investigations, officers detected a point of sale for drugs at a property close to Pollença Town Hall.

It is believed that one of the detainees would supply drugs in exchange for stolen items.
Another point of sale for drugs was discovered in Sa Pobla where various items reported stolen, including TVs, DVD recorders, music systems, numerous mobile phones, watches, jewellery and sunglasses were located along with five marijuana plants weighing five kilos.
