TWO Almeria City men were arrested for stealing water meters from eight unoccupied Retamar homes, causing €2,000 of damage.
They installed the meters in their own and other properties but bills for the remotely-read metres went to the legal owners. The men, both Spanish, fraudulently obtained water worth €9,600, police said.
