Mallorca women most unfaithful

MALLORCA women are the most unfaithful in Spain.

A study carried out by contact site Ashley Madison revealed that while 40 per cent of Spanish women cheat on their partners.

It is estimated that three million people in Spain log on to contact sites every day and 25 per cent of them are in a steady relationship.

One year since it entered the Spanish market, the Ashley Madison site has 630,000 registered users here.

According to their data, women in Palma are the most unfaithful in the whole of the Balearic islands and it is the eighth city in Spain for the number of affairs, behind others such as Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla.

There are 13,000 married residents of the Balearic Islands registered on the site, of which 11,382 live in Mallorca and 63.1 per cent are men.

The majority of them, 7,300, live in Palma, with the north area of the city being home to 28.2 per cent of the total.

However, the Playa de Palma area, with 11.4 per cent of the total, is the area where there is the highest percentage of women (39.4 per cent).

This, representatives from the website say, shows that compared to other cities in Spain, Mallorca women are the most unfaithful and are well over the average of 35 per cent.

However, they say that women are more likely to be unfaithful with only one man.

People who work in catering are most likely to have an affair (21 per cent of men and 17 per cent of women), followed by 16 per cent of salespeople and 12 per cent of entrepreneurs amongst men, and 15 per cent of accountants and 14 per cent of waitresses amongst women.
