Not as strong as in previous years, but don’t ever write off the Durable Danes.
Boss man Morten Olsen has named Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner (who did very well as a Sunderland loanee last season), Liverpool defender Daniel Agger and Manchester United’s goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard in his squad.
Stoke number one Thomas Sorensen is also in, along with highly rated Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen, experienced winger Dennis Rommedahl, defender Jannik Vestergaard and FC Groningen forward Nicklas Pedersen.
Olsen knows it will be tough to come through against the Germans and Dutch, but he’s confident and looking forward to the challenge.
Denmark won Euro 92, beating Germany in the final… another result like that in their group will do nicely.
