The Czechs are a well-organised side that likes to break quickly on the counter-attack, managing to get plenty of players forward when this happens, including both full-backs and occasionally the anchorman in midfield.
Head coach Michal Bilek is likely to use either, even both, Tomas Pekhart or Milan Baros (remember him?) up front and they are very capable goalscorers.
Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky, is out (injured) and that’s a blow to Bilek, but I believe the influential deep-lying midfield play of Jaroslav Plasil could hold the key to the Czech’s making progress.
He’s a clever player who gives the team more creativity.
He can certainly deliver some brilliant free-kicks and will ping a pass inch-perfect to his front men, given the opportunity.
Wide men Jan Rezek and Vaclav Pilar are supported by offensive-minded full-backs Theodor Gebre Selassie and Michal Kadlec and don’t forget Chelsea’s goalkeeper Petr Cech is between the posts!
The Czechs are no mugs and will give as good as they get!
