Slaven Bilic’s team could be the surprise package.
One of the most improved nations in European international football over the last decade or so, Croatia’s impressive style and crop of young talented players makes them a tidy outfit and they have the talent and ability to make a real impact.
Watch out for Tottenham’s creative midfielder Luka Modric, experienced Shakhtar Donetsk defender and captain Darijo Srna, who will be important in determining how good Croatia are at the back, and the elusive and sprightly Eduardo who will be their main man in attack.
He can score goals out of nothing – and often does!
Coach Bilic (remember him from his West Ham playing days?) has a vastly experienced footballing mind and gets the best, sometimes more, out of his players.
He will have them fired up all right and they will be well-supported as always.
They’ll get through their group okay.
