‘X’ marked the spot for RBL treasure hunt

THE Albox Branch of The Royal British Legion held its third car treasure hunt. Eight cars set off from the car park by the La Parrilla Hotel and Restaurant in Albox.

Participants had 31 clues on the first half of the course which took them to Limaria and then on to Hostel Meson in Arboleas where they took refreshments.

They then took off on the second part of the course with a further 39 clues.

They headed towards Arboleas and then on to Zurgena and Lubrin. After about two hours all the cars arrived at Bar Trinidad in Arboleas.

Participants then enjoyed a BBQ and a spot of dancing.

With a total of 103 pts on offer the winners, Sandra and Brain Angus and Sue and Mark Ramsbottom had an excellent score of 89 pts.

The prize of a case of Este wine was presented by the chairman Chris Pearce.

On June 9 Albox RBL are celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a Dinner Dance at La Parrilla Hotel and Restaurant, with entertainment by Brendon O’Dee.
