EVERY year the Calpe and Benissa Lions Club organise a Tea Party in the beautiful Iris Gardens of Marnes by kind permission of the owners, Christine Lomer and Nick Brown.
More than 150 partygoers drove into the hills above Benissa.
After a walk around the gardens, the Lions provided homemade cakes and tea.
There was also a Mad Hatters raffle with a selection of tea pots as prizes.
The winning numbers were drawn by Calpe Mayor Cesar Sanchez, who is also a member of the Lions Club.
At the end of the day receipts totalled more than €1,500 which will be used by the Lions to purchase food for the charity CARITAS.
Meanwhile, the next event in the Lions calendar is the Boutique Carol Fashion Show and Luncheon at the beautiful Restaurante Puerto Blanco in Calpe on Thursday June 14.
Tickets are available now on 965 834 852 or from hughstewart@telefonica.net .
