A ‘workmen’s gang’ from the Lions club of Teulada–Moriara descended on the Alzheimer’s centre in Teulada with paint, rollers and brushes in hand.
A fun filled morning ensued with 30 litres of paint being liberally applied and some of it even making it onto the walls and ceilings.
A transformation of the previous rather shabby premises was the result and all this supervised by Lion Willy Hardee who was referred to as the ‘Clerk of Works’ by some members of the team.
A good morning’s work was followed by a great result which was much appreciated by the staff that looks after the centre and the day patients.
The Lions will be holding a great night of entertainment on Saturday June 9 at the Brevis restaurant, Sol Park, Moraira in the form of a Barn Dance.
This promises to be a fun filled evening with the very talented Chloe Hooper’s “Cowboys & Cowgirls” providing good “ole country” music, Line Dancing with the “Rodeo Stompers” a sumptuous BBQ, free sangria on arrival, a raffle and a prize for best cowboy and cowgirl, all for €12.50.
To book tickets call 966 499 954 or 965 744 253.
