Huercal Olvera losing €2m per year

MORE than half of the properties in Huercal Overa are not paying Property Tax (IBI).

There are some 10,000 garages, plots and homes which are not paying taxing, meaning that the town hall is losing around €2 million per year.

The town hall is currently registering all properties which were not paying the IBI, mainly because former teams in office in the town had not done so previously and through no fault of the owners.
