A CLEANER at Granada Bus Station returned a rucksack with almost €14,000 which she found left on a bus.
The 52-year-old widow, who has two daughters, one of them unemployed, found the ruckscak at around 7am when she was cleaning a bus parked at the station and putting the seats upright.
She claims her hands began to shake when she saw what was inside and she quickly called her manager because she was afraid to get off with so much money.
The two women called the security guard and went with him to the National Police office at the station.
The police also found documents and credit cards inside the rucksack.
Approximately one hour later, a Chinese couple who had travelled to Granada from Madrid arrived to report they had lost the rucksack and it was handed over to him.
The cleaner says that although the money would have been useful for her family, she never even considered keeping it, because her job and her conscience are worth more to her.
