‘AL SAID’, the yacht of Sultan Qaboos of Oman is docked at Alicante Port for the next two weeks.
She was the second largest yacht at the time of her launch by German shipbuilder Lürssen in September 2007.
At 155m long, she is now the world’s third largest super-yacht.
The biggest is the 162.5m ‘Eclipse’, built in 2009 for Roman Abramovich, which surplanted the previous largest 162m ‘Dubai’, built in 2006 for Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Prior to these three yachts, the top place was held by the 147m ‘Prince Abdulaziz’, owned by King Abdullah of Saudia Arabia, since 1984.
