STRONG CAST: The Independent Theatre.
FARCE may be out of fashion but Noises Off captured a slice of nostalgia for the aficionados of farce.
The Teatro in Cantoria was the perfect backdrop with a touch of the Variety Hall. It created an intimacy that heightened the performance.
Noises Off is a challenging production for any amateur theatre group. It requires good timing and an empathy between the cast members even though the play dictates the opposite.
The Independent Theatre (ITG) strong cast with good supporting backstage crew made the production work well.
The set designed by Simon Farmiloe would have graced the West End both in style creativity and originality. It was the perfect set in allowing each of the characters to develop their part.
The applause by the audience showed appreciation of an enjoyable production.
