BLUES music fans in the Mojácar-Turre area will have a rare opportunity to hear the celebrated Mama Paula’s Blues Band when they headline a concert at the Turre Music Fest on Sunday June 3.
The event at Hostal Rural is in aid of PAWS, the Mojacar animal rescue charity, and Mama Paula will be supported by popular local bands Los Mezcaleros, Ratatoulles and the Zambra Allstars.
The legendary Mama Paula is an English musician based in Mijas on the Costa del Sol, but has had a long and distinguished career.
She has played in many different countries, and has performed at London’s Royal Albert hall in company with Mark Knopfler, Van Morrison, and Joe Cocker.
For many years she was resident at the famous Route 66 Blues Club.
