‘SEX PLEASE WE’RE WILLING’ was performed to three packed houses at The School of Music in Los Montesinos.
The Saturday evening performance was concluded by a cheque for €1,500 being presented to a representative from ADMISON charity.
The play was full of laughs and with such vivid characters, the audience was soon drawn into the plot, which revolves around four ladies who devise a plot to swap the local Casanova’s (Dud ‘The Stud’ Davies) Viagra with a female version newly invented by ladies man, Henry.
When the deed is done the two men end up getting menopausal symptoms much to the delight of the ladies.
Adhoc Theatre Company had four new actors, with Karen Love (Hillary Hudson) and Clive Gray (Henry Mitchell) treading the boards for the first time ever, and admirably rewarded for their efforts by an appreciative audience.
Dorothy Gates gave a great performance as the very precise Mrs Stancliffe who owns the B&B where the play is set.
There was plenty of fun to be had when a past paramour of Dud The Stud (played by John Lockwood) turns up.
Charmaine Beauregard (played by Jax Lawson) is a southern belle with a huge appetite for men.
A spokesman from VIVA TV was quoted as saying: “This was the best performance from an amateur dramatic group that I have ever filmed or seen.” Adhoc will be casting soon for their next production of ‘Allo, Allo’.
