MORE British holidaymakers – including those taking breaks in Spain – feel CCTV security cameras at their homes would provide them with added peace of mind while away.
This follows the active use of CCTV evidence to convict some of the people involved in looting during last year´s riots in the UK.
The wave of support for CCTVs at home and in the public domain displays a growing acceptance of the theory of ´Big Brother is watching.´
But equally, four out of five questioned in a UK survey revealed they view the overall cost as being too high when it comes to buying, installing and maintaining the latest systems.
Six out of every 10 people in the UK-based survey also admitted being worried about the safety of their property and possessions while on holiday or away on business.
