HUNDREDS of expatriates celebrated St Georges Day in Orihuela Costa on Monday.
The Tourism Department had organized a market and a procession among other activities all day long on the beach front of Playa Flamenca.
More than 15 groups, both Spanish and International, participated in the market.
The procession was made up of different British groups in the area as well as the local group ‘Armaos’ from the Easter Holy Week.
Beach Councillor Pedro Mancebo attended and promised to continue working to beat the economic crisis, like St George did with the dragons, with the object of improving the situation and services in the area.
