Calpe’s Charity Shop, 10th anniversary party

THE Charity Shop of Calpe held its 10th Anniversary party, in the process raising nearly €2,500 for good causes.

“I´d like to thank everyone who contributed to making the event such a great success, especially all the local people who attended and raised such a magnificent sum.

We had huge support from local businesses such as Galerías Aitana and the Sol y Mar hotel who donated raffle prizes, and our volunteers worked so hard setting up all the stalls and selling raffle tickets”, said The Charity Shop´s president, John Bridge.

To support the event, the Mayor of Calpe, Cesar Sanchez and Eva Ortiz, a Member of the Valencian parliament, attended to draw the raffle.

Sr. Sanchez expressed his gratitude that all the proceeds from the event were being donated to support a new Youth Club in Calpe, especially important in times of such high youth unemployment.

The Charity Shop relies on donations, so if you are having a spring clear out, please bear them in mind.
