Policeman wins battle against Almeria city hall

ALMERIA City Hall has been sentenced to pay €7,085 to a Local Police who was not paid the salary he should have received.

The policeman sued the City Hall after they failed to pay him as a Local Police trainee officer and he continued to receive only the National Police officer’s salary, which was his position before joining the local force.

A court in Almeria has ruled that he is entitled to the difference between the two amounts, plus legal interests.

Since then he resigned from the position in the Local Police force in 2011, and has requested to return to the National Police Force.
