RINCON DE LA VICTORIA Town Hall has given the go-ahead for a major business park.
There are a number of businesses around the town, but as yet, no specific area for companies and businesses, so the project is in great demand.
The business park will be located on a 112,000m2 plot in the Cortijo Blanco area, south of the A-7 motorway in Torre de Benagalbon.
This will allow for the construction of 31 industrial warehouses. The land belongs to promoter Level and was included in the 1992 General Plan for Urban Development for industrial use.
The Councillor for Urban Development and Infrastructures, Antonio Manuel Rando, said that the town hall hopes that the Junta de Andalucia will approve the modification which needs to be carried out to the General Plan for Urban Development.
The project would be carried out with private funds and is hoped to create employment in the town. It still has to be approved by the Junta de Andalucia.
This project would be the first step in a more ambitious plan, a commercial, logistical and industrial area in the Finca Garces area.
