THE state of Mar Menor’s beaches has been denounced by the Union, Progress and Democracy (UPyD) party in San Pedro del Pinatar.
Nothing has been done to clean the shore line to make the beaches ready for the influx of tourists that usually occurs during the Easter week.
The shoreline is filled with numerous round sea weed and other debris, which they say does “not invite one to wet their feet.”
“The Holy Week is the first tourist season of the year and we should offer up an attractive image for the town, especially since we are hosting the Sea World Exhibition this year,” they said.
