ANTONIO BANDERAS has convinced Spanish film director Carlos Saura to cast Gwyneth Paltrow alongside him in the movie ’33 days’.
It tells the story of Pablo Picasso’s emotional turmoil as he worked on the painting ‘Guernica’, which is his reaction to the bombing of the Basque town of Guernica on April 26, 1937 by the Nazi’s aviation, killing 2,000 civilians.
Banderas will play the part of Picasso and Paltrow will play Dora Maar, a French photographer, poet and painter, known for being Picasso’s lover and muse who took photographs of the various stages of the art work in Rue des Grands Augustins in Paris.
Shooting will begin this August in Guernica and Paris.
