AFA gets dressed by Torrevieja Costa Lions Club

AFA Alzheimer’s Torrevieja has received a generous €505 from the Torrevieja Costa Lions club to purchase new staff uniforms.

The generous Lions Club of Torrevieja was the first to assist AFA with purchasing their initial uniforms and AFA is very grateful that they were able to assist again now that the uniforms desperately need replacing.

Matilde Sanchez, President of AFA Torrevieja said” We appreciate the ongoing support we receive from the Lions Club of Torrevieja.

We needed to replace our staff uniforms this year but with fewer funds available we thought we might have to wait another year.

Thanks to Mr Bennett, President of the Lions Club proposing our situation to his club committee, we now have €505 with which to purchase the uniforms”.

We rely on voluntary donations to continue our vital work in our day centre and now have a “Buy a Brick” campaign to raise money to build a much needed residential care home for sufferers.

If you need help or advice, or feel you can contribute, call at the AFA shop in Calle Maestro Francisco Valejos in Torrevieja, the AFA Centre in Avenida de La Estacion or by calling Matilde Sanchez on 647 119 991 or Judy Ferris on 610 082 593. Email: afatorrevieja@hotmail.com
