THE residents of the Ipanema buildings in Torre del Mar have given a proposal to Velez Malaga Town Hall to ensure the pay €4 million they are still owed.
The sentence against the town hall was the first of its kind in the province after it failed to take action to prevent excessive noise levels and the residents took the case to court.
They have now given the town hall until April 30 to begin to make the payments, and if they fail to do so, they will request the authorities to embargo the municipal assets which are required to make the payments.
Their proposal includes reducing the final sum to €3.25 million as long as monthly payments are made, or reducing it to €2.75 million if a lump sum is paid before June 30 this year.
