A MOROCCAN man, 30, wanted in France for kidnapping and manslaughter was arrested in Torremolinos.
He was stopped at a routine police checkpoint and gave the officers his brother’s documents.
The police found there was a European arrest warrant against a man with the same surname, but as the name didn’t coincide, they let him go, but kept him under surveillance and contacted the French authorities.
They discovered he had provided false ID and he was arrested and sent to Madrid for extradition.
In 2008, he was part of a gang which allegedly kidnapped two people and caused them serious injuries which eventually led one of them to die.
