WITH another large turnout last Tuesday we had two different competitions, 12 players opted to play off the white tees with three from four scores to count. The winners were Ray Mc Hale John Clements, Alan Hewitt and Ray Harrison with an excellent score of 93 points.The remainder of the golfers played an individual competition from the normal tees, where the winner was Ann Miles with 34 points. Steve Baggley (34) was second, Doris Harrison (33) third and Martin de Bruin (31) fourth.
The first division winner last Friday was newcomer to the spotlight Kevin Burden, who after playing an excellent round of golf off 6 hcp, scored 38 points. Second was Patrick Vickery (33). Division 2 winner was Bill Churchill with 34 points and second place went to Martin de Bruin (34). Nearest the pins were both Tony Dudley and Malcolm Cleife.
