Calanova cancer care charity appeal

AFTER the illness and loss of close friends, Angela McGrath realised that there was not enough help out there for members of the International Community suffering from Cancer.

Having already helped run a successful charity shop, Angela, along with some friends, decided at the end of last year, to open a shop for Cancer Care.

They also wanted it to be a place where people affected by Cancer could get information about the help which is available to them on the Island, so they have got together with the Krista Support Group, who are doing wonderful work with people suffering from Cancer, and their families, and all their information can been found in the shop, as can brochures on special swimwear and lingerie.

Having founded the shop themselves , after expenses, 100 per cent of monies raised from the sale of your kind donations , will be given to the Cancer Care Charities on the Island.

The Shop is situated in front of the Calanova Sailing School, Joan Miro 358, San Agustin. Palma ,07015.

Opening hours are from 9.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays and 9.30am to 1.30pm on Saturday.

Just opened, they need good clothes , bric-a-brac, books, towels, sheets , and blankets, among others.

Especially any unwanted presents!

Angela and all the volunteers ask you to please come along and visit the shop, they do need you as a client. and as a volunteer, if you have a morning or an afternoon free, even if only every now and again.

This shop is dedicated to everyone’s family members and friends who have been touched by Cancer.

Do go and look around this new friendly shop, you are sure to find something there that you did not know you needed!
