NATIONAL POLICE seized 3,000 Ecstasy tablets which were destined for sale at raves in Granada discos.

The investigation began in October 2011 after the tablets were detected being sold by small-scale dealers.

The police found they were imported from Holland by a man who is believed to be amongst several people who were arrested.

Most of the tablets were hidden in a compartment in the ceiling in his home and had the ‘Versace’ logo stamped on them as a symbol of ‘quality’ to make them more attractive to consumers.

The rest were found at another property. They also seized three kilos of hashish, a vehicle, cash, precision scales and several mobile phones.

Further arrests are expected.
