HOTEL occupancy in Sierra Nevada in Granada for this Andalucia day holiday weekend is expected to continue to be more than 60 per cent, the ski resort’s management company Cetursa said.
Several factors came together at the ski resort to make it the busiest of the season so far last weekend, according to Cetursa, as snowfall last Thursday meant that conditions were “unbeatable”.
Seven-year-old Almeria Expat Maya Villegas from Garrucha (Almeria) – taken to Sierra Nevada by her mother Susan Leach – said she a great time on the slopes.
Both the Conservative PP party and the Socialist PSOE party have promised to investigate the possibility of expanding the Sierra Nevada ski slopes should they win the Andalucian elections on March 25.
