A POLICE helicopter is to be used to carry out surveillance in more than 100 urbanizations in Torrevieja.
This is in a bid to increase security in these areas. A “good result” is expected, according to Security Councillor Eduardo Gil Rebollo.
There will be two controls a month with the helicopter and two others each week in Torrevieja’s urbanizations and streets.
This initiative is being rolled out due to collaboration between various security forces.
“This level of security is much needed in the city’s urbanizations, in which more and more people live on a permanent basis,” said Gil Rebollo.
