THIS Saturday, there will be two Carnaval parades in Benidorm.
The first is for children and starts at 11am from Calle Gambo and goes through Plaza de la Hispanidad, Calle Puente and Plaza de SSMM los Reyes de España.
In Plaza del Ayuntamiento there will be bouncy castle.
The second is for adults and starts at 9.30pm from Calle Venus through Ruzafa, Herrerias and Plaza del SSMM los Reyes de España, where there will be a drinks bar. More than €4,400 in prizes – €3,600 for the adults and €825 for the children – will be handed out, according to the town hall.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday February 21 there will be the ‘Sardine’ parade at 9pm from Plaza Mayor and through Tomas Ortuño, Calle Escuelas, Ruzafa, Paseo de la Carretera and Paseo de Colon, where the ‘sardine’ will be burnt by the sea and during a fireworks display.
The festival will come to a close at the Living Room pub in Calle La Palma.
