‘The Spirit of England’ with Cantabile Singers

AFTER a successful and most enjoyable run of five Christmas concerts, Cantabile female voice choir is now rehearsing for its next major project,‘The Spirit of England’.

The programme, to be performed next June, will consist mostly of songs and instrumental and dance music written by English composers between 1490 and 2011: from Purcell to The Beatles and including Paul Mealor’s wonderful ‘Wherever You Are’.

This month Cantabile were delighted to be able to donate €100 to Stroke Awareness, funds raised at their final concert held at Torrevieja’s Palacio del la Música.

Another €220 was also donated to La Siesta Church Management Fund and received by Bruce Heath, representing their committee. Cantabile are always actively seeking new members.
