MOJACAR council is concerned that a five-day beach festival this April could spoil the town’s image as a relaxing, family beach resort.

The Mojacar Spring Break Facebook page advertises sun, beach, drinks, sports and guest DJs for 1,500 young people at the festival inspired by American spring break parties.

The council stated in a press release that they have nothing whatsoever to do with the festival planned to begin on April 11. Although they cannot ban it, the council promises to do everything in their power to ensure the law is adhered to and prevent “scandalous activities,” that could upset residents.
