ELECTRIC bills in Spain could once again be issued every two months and based on the real meter readings, if a proposal from the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism goes ahead The ministry has sent the proposal to the National Energy Committee in order to ensure that clients only pay for what they use.
However, those who wish to do so can maintain the current system by which there is a electric bill every month and one of them is an estimation.
This system has led to a large amount of complaints, but the proposed Royal Decree would allow users to provide their own meter reading.
