EXPECTATIONS MET: The majority of businesses felt that their expectations of the sales were met.
THE trade “expectations” of 60 per cent of shop owners in Mallorca were met in the first two weeks of the January sales.
This percentage was even higher at 85 per cent if only looking at shops in Palma de Mallorca.
Despite this, 44 per cent said that they sold fewer items than they did during the same period last year, according to business association Pimeco.
