A MAN was arrested in Palma for drunk driving with his two daughters in the car.
The 42-year-old was found to be four times above the legal alcohol blood limit.
His ex-wife had reported him after he showed up at her home at 9.30pm on Friday – Three Kings – to pick up the girls.
She immediately realised that he had been drinking and pleaded with him not to take them in the car in the state he was in, but he insisted.
When officers arrived he was still at the scene as the mother and several other family members were preventing him from leaving. When they tried to stop him he took off but was intercepted after a short distance.
Officers were also shown a text message that the older daughter had sent to one of her uncle saying she did not want to go with her father and that he had taken gulps from a bottle of whisky.
