SIX of every €10 which will be taken by Velez Malaga Town Hall in 2012 will be from taxes.
During the year, the town hall expects to make more than €88 million, of which €53.4 million will be from local taxes.
This is despite the local government having frozen taxes for 2012, except the property tax, which will go up by 10 per cent compared to this year. On the other hand, the amount destined to helping local residents will be almost doubled to €4 million.
“The aim is to prevent local residents for paying more on Property Tax” the local Tax Councillor, Manuel Gutierrez said.
